Zoom Webinar Series:

A Discussion about Resilience and Diversity

Through Academia and Industry

The 2020 Zoom Webinar Series will be a discussion about diversity and resilience through academia and the workforce. We will bring industry leaders, individuals in academia, and activists to talk to the campus about what it is like being either a minority, marginalized group, or underrepresented individual. For week three, we have first Dr.Liliana De La Paz, a Stanford graduate in chemical engineering. She is currently a senior research scientist for Gilead Sciences, a top biotech pharmaceutical company. Lilliana's accolades speak for themselves, but she is honored with the title as the first Latina to graduate from Stanford with a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. As a first-generation college student, Latinx, and woman in STEM, we have the honor of talking with a profound scientist, engineer, and Bio-Tech industry leader about various topics about Diversity and Resilience within Academia and Industry.Food and Drinks provided!
